About Me

My photo
I am a bit of a hippy at heart, although I am a bit to young to have been a flower child (I was a New Romantic as a teenager). I love the individuality and colourfulness of the arty, hippy style and like to express that love of colour in my jewellery and I seem to be increasingly drawn to nature as inspiration for my beadwork.

Earth Song - Finished Object!

Earth Song is finished, yay! This is quite an achievement for me as I normally only manage fairly quick projects. I did things completely differently this time, I chose a colour theme and let the beads dictate where I went with it instead of knowing what I wanted to make right from the start.

I enjoyed the process and am really happy with what I ended up with and think that this is the way forward in terms of stretching myself creatively with my beading. I will still need to work the other way to build up stock for my Etsy shop but I am going to try and do this on a regular basis.

Happy beading!

And...it's finished! :-)
I like the final effect.
Nice, interesting connections, not overembellished, simple, but very elegant and, what emphasises its value: the color.I love green and often make something in green color.Recently I also have made a green set.
Beautiful Work of Yours-glad to see it finished.

I'm with Halinka. I like the simplicity of the design. So many times bead embroidery is over-the-top lush, and you lose the overall effect of the design. The color is awesome. You really did a great job with this!
