About Me

My photo
I am a bit of a hippy at heart, although I am a bit to young to have been a flower child (I was a New Romantic as a teenager). I love the individuality and colourfulness of the arty, hippy style and like to express that love of colour in my jewellery and I seem to be increasingly drawn to nature as inspiration for my beadwork.

Yesterday at Vintage Pretty 2.

I had a great day yesterday at Vintage Pretty. My new display looked much better and definitely attracted more attention than at the 1st one. Of course I forgot to take a photo, I will remember next month. I made some sales and met some great new people, including Laura from Art By Adora, there is a link to her blog on the right. Laura makes beautiful recycled envelopes, paintings and beautiful books, her cherry blossom handmade book is next on my wish list, I need to fill my current one up quickly so I can get it soon!

I did make a couple of purchases, a pair of earrings from Tinker's Infinity which I had coveted at the last fair and an amazing cup cake bath bomb from bon bombs for my son (who is very spoilt!), this ladies stuff were amazing! see link below

Ice Queen

Ice Queen is a freeform peyote necklace which features a beautiful Swarovski Crown Crystal. The crystal is captured in peyote stitch.

One for me!

Here is the 3rd version of my new ring design and this one is mine! I made it to jazz up an all black outfit. It got a lot of attention! People's eyes were following my hands as I talked!

Copper Rose Beaded Ring

The 2nd of my beaded rings uses copper delica beads and padparadascha pink swarovski crystals. I added a 3rd row of crystals for even more sparkle and glamour. This is a real statement ring!

Sea Flower Beaded Ring

Posted by Picasa
Here is the 1st of my new beaded ring design, this one is in teals and features swarovski crystal beads in caribbean opal, one of my new favourite colours! You can't really see in this photo but the ring top is 3 dimensional, it cups up over the centre bead and then flares out in a pretty flower shape

Craft Fair Fun.

Saturday at the Vintage Pretty Fair in Cardiff was a lot of fun, there were lots of stalls full of lovely things and considering that it was the 1st one there were quite a lot of people coming in through the doors. More than I expected. I had some great feedback on my jewellery and sold some so that was great! I need to work on my display, so I'll be doing that this month ready for the next event on 27th March.

Sunday afternoon I was full of inspiration and sat down and sketched lots of new ideas, which I have started working on including some lovely beaded rings. I'm just waiting for some photo's to download so they'll be a sneak peek of what I will be bringing to the fair.
